The founder and CEO of this site is Michael D. Tipton. Mr. Tipton has recently served as Managing Director of Stock Profile, and was Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for Dutton Associates, a world-wide research company.  Mr. Tipton hails from northern California, and was raised in the Napa Valley, attending Justin-Siena High-School.  Tipton has has been active in the micro-cap markets for many years, ever since his career began as a stock-broker back in 1990, with then-named Dean Witter Reynolds.  A former top-producer as an advisor in the bank industry, and a securities principal, Tipton was a Broker of the Year at Glendale Federal Bank, and won numerous awards with companies such as  Eaton Vance, MFS and Sun Life, Putnam, and a host of others as a money-manager and producer.  He also served as a Sales Director at E*Trade for several years at the start of this decade. Tipton graduated from the School of Business at Cal State University at Sacramento, and studied accounting and finance, then onto his career in the financial markets.  Tipton's other passion is with the sports world, and was a long-time employee, from 1985 to 2005, with the NBA and Sacramento Kings.  His highlight was travelling with the Kings in their inaugural trip to Japan in 2001!  He also had a stint with the Golden State Warriors in their marketing division in 1986.

Tipton now lives in northern California near the greater Sacramento area. Tipton is a big sports fan, and is an avid participant in boxing and kickboxing.
